Order for linking of Aadhaar card with Mobile

Linking of Aadhaar and Mobile No. and its validation with Digital Ration cards has become the top priority of this Department for ensuring authenticated automated transactions in Fair Price Shops.

Recently, Webel Technology Limited has been assigned the responsibility of doing this work by conducting house to house visits with bio-metric devices followed by micro camps at strategic locations. The same work has been planned from all Bangla Sahayata Kendras throughout the state.

To complete the Aadhaar seeding of all left out beneficiaries in a time bound manner it has also been decided that special incentive will be given to the FPS for doing Mobile seeding and Aadhaar seeding through e-Pos in their shops.

With this backdrop, the Governor is pleased to allow the following charges in favour of the FPS owners as detailed below with effect from 01.06.2021.

The payment will be made only after validation of seed Aadhaar number from UIDAI and mobile verified with OTP. Dealers are requested to undertake this exercise during 2nd to 4th week and on the other days when there is less crowed so that other beneficiaries are not compelled to wait.

All concerned are being informed accordingly.

The is issued with the concurrence of Finance Department vide U.O No. Group-A-II/2021-2022/0009 dated 12.06.2021.

Where Aadhaar card is mandatory

1. প্যান কার্ডের সাথে Aadhaar কার্ডের সংযুক্তিকরণ। আয় সংক্রান্ত ব্যাপারে মাথায় রেখে এই সিব্ধান্ত।
2. আয়কর রিটার্নের ক্ষেত্রে Aadhaar বাধ্যতামূলক। আয়কর রিটার্নের সময় Aadhaar উল্লেখ না করলে আয়কর জামা করা যাবে না।
3. সরকারি বিভিন্ন সামাজিক প্রকল্পে ভর্তুকি পাবার জন্য Aadhaar বাধ্যতামূলক।

Where Aadhaar card is not mandatory

1. ব্যাংকে একাউন্ট খোলার ক্ষেত্রে Aadhaar বাধ্যতামূলক নয়।
2. ফোনের জন্য সিমকার্ড ও অনলাইন শপিং  করার ক্ষেত্রে  Aadhaar বাধ্যতামূলক নয়।
3. বিদ্যালয়ে ভর্তির সময়  Aadhaar না থাকলেও চলবে।
4. সি বি এস সি, এন ই  ই  ও ইউ জি সি-র পরীক্ষাতেও Aadhaar বাধ্যতামূলক নয়।

Press Release regarding Aadhaar

Caution-27th May 2022

Do not share photocopy of your Aadhaar with any organizations because it can be misused. Alternatively, please use a masked Aadhaar which displays only the last 4 digits of your Aadhaar number. It can be downloaded from UIDAI official website https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in. Please select the option "Do you want a masked Aadhaar'' and proceed to download.

The existence of any Aadhaar number can be verified at https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/verifyAadhaar. To verify offline, you can scan the QR code on e-Aadhaar or Aadhaar letter or Aadhaar PVC card using QR code scanner in the mAadhar mobile application.

Please avoid using a public computer at an internet cafe/kiosk to download e-Aadhaar. However if you do so, please ensure that you delete all the downloaded copies of e-Aadhaar permanently from that computer.

Only those organizations that have obtained a User License from the UIDAI can use Aadhaar for establishing the identity of a person. Unlicensed privet entities like hotels or film halls are not permitted to collect or keep copies of Aadhaar card. It is an offence under the Aadhaar Act 2016. If a private entity demands to see your Aadhaar card or seeks a photocopy of your Aadhaar card, please verify that they have valid User Licence from the UIDAI.

Clarification on Aadhaar sharing issue by UIDAI

This is in pursuant of the Press Release dated 27th May 2022 by the Bengaluru Regional Office, UIDAI.

It is learn that it was issued by them in the context of an attempt to misuse a photoshopped Aadhaar card. The release advised the people to not to share photocopy of their Aadhaar with any organization because it can be misused. Alternatively, a masked Aadhaar which displays only the last 4 digits of Aadhaar number, can be used.

However, in view of the possibility of the misinterpretation of the Press Release, the same stands withdrawn with immediate effect.

UIDAI issued Aadhaar card holders are only advised to exercise normal prudence in using and sharing their UIDAI Aadhaar numbers.

Aadhaar Identity Authentication ecosystem has provided adequate features for protecting and safeguarding the identity and privacy of the Aadhaar holder.
