Like previous year "Sparsh" Leprosy Awareness Campaign (SLAC) will be organized in your District from 30th January, 2019 to 13th February, 2019. This programme is envisaged to eradicate the stigma and discrimination against persons affected with leprosy through messages. The operational guideline for Sparsh Leprosy Awareness Campaign (SLAC) has already been shared with the districts. The copy of the same guideline is also enclosed herewith for your ready reference.

In this regard, you are kindly requested for taking necessary action for success of the programme.
Action taken, in this regard, kindly be intimated to this end within stipulated time.

In order to address the issue of stigma attached to Leprosy and to increase awareness about various aspects of Leprosy, Sparsh Leprosy Awareness Campaign (SLAC), 2019 will be done from 30.01.2019 to 13.02.2019.

Hence, you are requested to organizing awareness generation activity in schools throughout the districts. IEC materials and FAQ are attached here with. The campaign programme may be as folows:

Reading out drafted message during prayer hours in school.
Explaining message through the class teachers.

Observation of Anti-Leprosy on 30.01.2019 with Rally/display of IEC materials on the occasion of martyrdom of Mahatma Gandhi.

Hence, the draft message and FAQ may kindly be circulated among all school by 28.01.2019.
