Transferring surplus Teachers from Schools

The School Education Department has decided transferring Primary Teachers from Schools running with surplus Teachers to the Schools having deficit Teachers.
  • Total Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary schools where are low/poor Roll strength of the students in West Bengal for the session 2023, download list of Schools as per PTR 2023.

No.80-SE/EE/10M-70/2018  Dated:01/02/2018
The SED (School Education Department) has already decided rationalization of Primary Teacher to ensure proper distribution of Teachers among different Primary Schools in the State by the way of transferring Primary Teachers from Schools running with surplus Teachers to the Schools having deficit Teachers.
                             
Now, in consideration of same, School Education Department hereby approves the transfer order as per the enclosed list.

The Chairman, District Primary School Council and District Inspector of School(Primary Education) are instructed to send the disputed individual case(S) if any, to the Department of School Education immediately Chairman, District Primary School Council And District Inspector of Schools (Primary Education)to take further action immediately.

Subject: Intra-district transfer of teachers from Primary Schools having surplus teachers to Primary Schools having deficit teachers for rationalization/ maintaining proper Pupil-Teacher Ratio

Sir/Madam,
As directed, I'm sending herewith a list containing district specific information of the primary schools having surplus and deficit teachers and total numbers of surplus teachers in your district.

You are requested to transfer teachers from primary schools having surplus teachers to primary schools having deficit teachers flawlessly depending on a set of standard criterion for rationalization or maintaining the Pupil-Teacher Ratio (PTR). You are advised to consult with the Board before issuing the transfer order for formulating  or determining the policy of transfer under this mandate to avoid controversy, if any, in future. You are also advised to submit a report to the Board after the operationalization of the transfer for appraisal of the Board.

You necessary action in this regard will be highly appreciated.
