Mobile App to be used by Officers for Poll Day morning

Android Mobile App will be used by the Presiding Officers on P-1 day and poll day, for sending their statutory report to the concerned Returning Officer through SMS system for General Election to Lok Sabha 2019.

I would like to bring to your notice that an Android Mobile App for Poll Day Monitoring has been development by this office. After Successful registration Polling Officer (PO) will get a SMS with Mobile (App) application download link as following.

This App will be used by the Presiding Officers on P-1 day and poll day, for sending their statutory report to the concerned Returning Officer. 

Sector Officers will as super users. In case there is any network problem (Mobile and Internet shadow) at the polling stations and Presiding Officers fail to submit reports through this App from those Polling Stations, Sector Officers can use this App for Submission of desired report to the concerned Returning Officers in respect of those Polling Stations.

User manual for the same is attached herewith for perusal and training purposes.

In this respect, it is further clarified that those Presiding Officers who do not use smart phones can submit their reports on P-1 day and poll day through SMS system. Besides, in case of problem in internet network at the polling station, this app also has the facility and enables Presiding Officers to send the desired reports through off line mode.

You are requested to kindly instruct all connected officials to test this Mobile App (Training version) and give your feedback for further modification of the App within 13.03.2019. After obtaining your views, the Mobile App will be further customised according for actual use on P-1 day and poll day.
