The recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission were sealed by the State Cabinet. The Finance Minister, Amit Mitra said this at a Press conference.
According to the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission, if the salary of a State Government employee was earlier Rs 100, this time his salary will be Rs 270.90. At the same time, the Upper limit of gratuity is doubled. The Upper limit of gratuity has increased from Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 12 lakh. Besides, the amount of Allowance is also increasing in other sectors. The seal of approval of the Sixth Pay Commission, in some cases even more than the recommendation of the Sixth Pay Commission, is twice the amount of gratuity paid to State Government employees, the State Government has increased the amount of Allowance.
At a glance increased Allowance in the Sixth Pay Commission
- House Rent allowance(HRA)-HRA is increasing from Rs. 6 thousand to Rs.12 thousand.
- Non-Practicing Allowance - Pay Commission had recommended Rs. 1 lakh 60 thousand, the State Government has given it Rs. 2 lakh.
- Medical Allowance (MA) - The Pay Commission had recommended an increase from Rs. 300 per month to Rs. 400 per month. The State Government increased it to Rs.500. The Upper limit is being increased from Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,500.
- Tiffin cost - Minimum Rs.10 the Pay Commission recommended Rs. 20 rupees. The Government increased it to Rs. 30 and the maximum Rs. 60 has been increased to Rs.180.

The Finance Minister said that as per the recommendation of the Sixth Pay Commission, if the salary of a state government employee was earlier Rs 100, then this time his salary will be Rs 270.90.
The Finance Minister, Amit Mitra said Basic pay and Grade pay were added. At the same time DA was also added. As a result, the previous salary was Rs.100 , it is increasing to Rs. 225. This time the salary is being increased by 14.22 % on this Rs. 225 . As a result, the increased salary is Rs. 256 . Now, from 2018 to 2019, a salary increase of 3 % for 3 consecutive years is being added to this Rs. 256 . As a result, the total salary of Rs.100 is increasing to Rs. 260.90. At the same time, the Upper limit of Gratuity is doubled. The Upper limit of Gratuity has increased from Rs. 6 lakh to Rs.12 lakh. Besides, the amount of allowance is also increasing in other sectors. The State Government has also increased the amount of allowance in some cases beyond the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission.
According to the Finance Minister, Amit Mitra the new pay scale of the Sixth Pay Commission will be effective from January 2020. Although there was a demand from the State Government employees, a new pay scale should be introduced from 2018. At the same time the arrears of growth have to be paid as area. However, it was not accepted.
