Suspension of classes to combat spread
To Check Spread of corona virus (COVID-19) all Government, Government-aided, Private educational Institutions Schools, Colleges, Universities, Madrasahs, SSK/MSK will remain closed from 16th March, 2020 to 31st March, however Board Exam would be held as per schedule.

In view of the evolving situation (পরিস্থিতি) on the spread of Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19), the advisories issued by WHO, UN and Central Government and as a matter of abundant precaution to check (চেক) its spread in the State of West Bengal, it has been decided that all Government, Government aided, private educational institutions Schools, Colleges, Universities, Madrasahs, SSK/MSK will remain closed (বন্ধ) from 16.03.2020 to 31.03.2020 in public interest. The internal examinations (পরীক্ষা) of these institutions will also remain suspended during the said duration.
However, the Board (WBBSE) Examination would be held as per schedule.
Higher Secondary (HS) Examination 2020 and Annual Examination of Class XI

In accordance with the Press release issued by the Hon'ble Chif Minister Government of Bengal (Memo No. 85-SSE/20 dated: 14.03.2020) and other issued by the School Education Department (Memo No. 86-SSE/20 dated: 14.03.2020) related to suspension of classes as a precaution to check the spread of Corona Virus in West Bengal, the Council would like to notify that all teachers and non-teaching staff related to H.S Examination, 2020 and Annual Examination of Class XI, will continue their invigilation and other examination duties will completion of examination work. It may be noted that this Notification will also be applicable for those teachers/ non-teaching staff serving examination duty at an examination venue which is not his/her parent Institution.

In compliance with the order of the Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Government of West Bengal vide Memo No. 86-SSE/20 Dated: 14.03.2020, it is hereby notified that classes of all recognized Secondary institutions ( Government, Government Sponsored & Non-Government aided) of the state will remain suspended from 16.03.2020 to 31.03.2020 to combat spread (ছড়িয়ে পড়া) of Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19). The school authority are advised to comply with the order accordingly.
Preventive measures to check spread of corona virus

In order to prevent spread of corona virus (COVID-19), the State Government have decided the following
(a) All Educational Institutions of the State shall remain closed till 31.03.2020, except for holding examinations and evaluations.
(b) Non-essential official gathering such as Seminars, Workshops, Conferences etc. are to be cancelled till 31.03.2020.
(c) Bio-metric system of recording attendance of students, teaches and other employees is to be discontinued till 31.03.2020
