It is hereby notified for the information of all concerned the West Bengal Central School Service Commission will soon issue an advertisement for recruitment to the post of Headmaster / Headmistress in Secondary, Higher Secondary and Junior High Schools. All the relevant details regarding the selection process viz the application submission mode and dates, Application fees, mode of payment of Application fees, date of the written test, method of the written examination to be conducted, the counseling process and tentative number of vacancies etc. with be given in a brochure accompanying the advertisement.

Memorandum for Headmaster/Headmistress Recruitment

It has been brought to the notice of the Government that there has been some ambiguity regarding implication and applicability of Department. Memo No. 437-SE(P&B)/SL/5S-408/19 dated 13.12.2019. To remove this ambiguity. It is hereby stated that the Para 11(2) shall be read with the Note deemed to have been inserted after Para 11(2) as quoted below:

Note: For granting one additional increment in respect of Headmaster/Headmistress, computation of every 10 years of  continuous satisfactory service shall be made from the date of regular appointment as Assistant Teacher.

It is also clarified that on appointment to the post of Headmaster /Headmistress, no additional increment for fixation of pay is admissible except protection of last pay drawn in the former post.

This issues with the approval of the Finance Department vide their G.O No. Group P1/2021-2022/0459 dated 31.03.2022.
