Higher Secondary Examination Programme 2023

The Examination will be held in only paper on each day from 10:00 am to 1:15 pm (3 hours and 15 minutes time is allotted both for reading question paper and writing answer) except Health & Physical Education, Visual Arts, Music and Vocational Subjects.

# The Examination of these subjects will be of two (02) hours duration.

All Practical Examinations will be held between 05.12.2022 and 21.12.2022.
The Council may, if necessary, change the above date with due information to all concerned.

Annual (Class XI) Examination Programme 2023

The Annual Examination will be held in only one paper on each day from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm (3 hours and 15 minutes time is allotted both for reading question paper and writing answer) except Heath & Physical Education, Visual Arts, Music and Vocational Subjects.

# The Annual Examination of these subject will be of two (02) hours duration.

All practical Examination will be held between 31.03.2023 to 18.04.2023.
The Council may, if necessary, change the above dates with due information to all concerned.

It has been notified earlier (vide Notification No. L/SECY/56/2022 dated 08.07.2022), that the Annual Examination of Class XI and Higher Secondary Examination of 2023 will be conducted on full syllabus. Please note that, all the subjects will follow the same Syllabus and Question Pattern as was followed in 2020 and earlier before the COVID-19 period.

Attention : All Heads of the Institutions

As directed, I am to inform you that the Council is going to upload the Marks Entry Module for Class XI Annual Examination on 11.04.2023. Institutions have to enter the marks of the students of Class XI Annual Examination by visiting Council portal from 11.04.2023 to 02.05.2023 using existing login ID and Password. A detailed guideline is attached with this notice for ready reference.

Attention : All Heads of Higher Secondary Institutions

In compliance with the recent order issued by SED (School Education Department), Government of West Bengal regarding closer of the Schools for one week w.e.f 17.04.2023 due to heat wave all over the state except Hill Areas of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts, the undersigned is directed to notify all the Institutions under the jurisdiction of Council regarding the following changes in the schedule:

  • Pending Practical Examination of Class XI Annual Examination 2023 is to be conducted from 24th April 2023 to 29th April 2023. Practical Examination in the schools under Hill Areas (Darjeeling and Kalimpong) is to be conducted as per previous schedule.
  • Last date of filling up of Marks Entry Module by visiting the Council online portal (already notified vide No: L/SECY/58/2023 dated 06.04.2023) for Class XI Annual Examination 2023 is extended till 15th May 2023.
