Sir/Madam, 
                This is in continuation with Memo No.DS(Aca)/504/A/25/5 dated 30.12.2024, I am directed to inform that the 1st Summative Evaluation of Classes VI to Class X, for academic session 2025, is to be held in the month of April 2025, not extending after 12th April 2025. The schedule of the Summative Evaluation should strictly adhere to the applicable guidelines issued by the Board from time to time. The Question papers for Summative Evaluation need to be formed by subject teacher of the School and each school shall have its own set of Question Paper per subject/class.

This is applicable for all classes VI to Class X for 2025

         In continuation with Memo No. DS(Aca)/504/A/25/5 dated 30.12.2024, the Heads of all recognised Schools under WBBSE (West Bengal Board of Secondary Education) are being information that all schools must follow the following schedule of 2nd and 3rd Summative Evaluations for the academic session 2025 and Selection Test for Madhymik Pariksha (Secondary Education) 2026. Each and every school must prepare the question papers of their own and mention the name of the Institution at the top of the Question Paper. External agencies/bodies cannot be outsourced to frame Question Papers for the said examinations. Head of the Institutions of all the schools recognised by WBBSE are earnestly requested to mandatorily adhere to the division of syllabi, distribution of marks and model structure of sample question given in the website  while framing the Summative question papers for class VI (Six) to class X (Ten). The Summative question paper should be formulated keeping the expected learning outcomes in mind. The evaluation process should thus be a tool to measure to what extent the expected learning outcome has been achieved. The Head of the Institutions of respective schools shall remain vigilant about the matter, since any/all cases of violations if reported shall be answerable.
