Pay protection of in-service Assistant Teacher, the matter regarding the payment of salary and Pay protection of in-service Assistant Teachers appointed afresh on recommendation of West Bengal Central Service Commission under Pass (Graduate)/ P.G (Post Graduate) category has been under active consideration of the Government.

The matter regarding the payment of salary and Pay protection of in-service Assistant Teachers appointed afresh on recommendation of West Bengal Central Service Commission under Graduate/ Post Graduate category has been under active consideration of the Government for some time past.

Now, after careful consideration of the matter, the Governor has been pleased to say that the Teachers having Post Graduate Degree and holding Post Graduate category of Post (holding Post Graduate Scale) are eligible to apply for the post of Post Graduate category Teacher provided they are within the prescribed age limit (40 years) subject to relaxation for Schedule Caste (SC)/Schedule Tribe (ST)/Other Backward Class (OBC)/PWD candidates as on 1st Day of January of the age of Advertisement and are eligible to get last Pay drawn Protected in terms of the provisions of Memo No. 269-SE(Pry) dated 16.04.1996 of this Department.

This issues with the concurrence of  Finance Department vide their UO No. Group P1/2019-2020/0101 dated 01.07.2019
The same principle is applicable for the Teachers holding Pass Graduate Degree and Pass Graduate category of post to apply for the post of Pass Graduate category teacher and necessary Pay Protection thereafter.
The principle will also be applicable for the Teacher coming from Government Aided Madrashas under Minority Affairs and Madrashas Education Department to the Government Aided / Sponsored Schools under School Education Department.
All concerned are being  informed accordingly.
