Illegal practice of Private Tuition

School teachers will not be able to teach Private Tuition. Before this rule was introduced under the Right to Education Act 2009. Now the State is bringing laws to punish school teachers who engaged illegal practice of Private Tuition.

Ref No. : (I) 301/SW(DN) dated 08.03.2021 of the ADM(T), North 24 Pgs.
(II) WB-206184/2020-21/RTE/209295 dated 02.03.2021 of the Registrar, NCPCR.

In reference to the above the undersigned has to inform that the few nos. of Teacher have been engaged in Private Tuition. Though it has clearly mentioned in Chapter-IV, Para-28 of RTE Act 2009 that no Teacher shall engage himself or herself in Private Tuition or Private Teaching activity.

In this regard he/she is requested to enquire the fact and circumstance against the following Teachers and report to the undersigned within 7 days after receiving the letter-

চাকরি হারাতে পারেন! স্কুল শিক্ষকদের শায়েস্তা করতে কড়া আইন আনছে রাজ্য 

স্কুল শিক্ষকরা Private Tuition পড়াতে পারবে না। Right to Education Act 2009 শিক্ষার অধিকার আইন অনুসারে এই নিয়ম চালু হয় আগেই। ওই নিয়ম এই রাজ্যেও চালু আছে। কিন্তু নিয়ম প্রয়োগের ব্যাপারে কড়াকড়ি ছিল না। তাই এই রাজ্যের স্কুল শিক্ষকদের একটা বড় অংশ নিয়মকে পাত্তা না দিয়ে Private পড়িয়ে যাচ্ছিলেন।এবার এই ব্যাপারে কঠোর ব্যবস্থা নিতে চলেছে রাজ্য সরকার।
স্কুল শিক্ষক-শিক্ষিকারা Private পড়াতে পারবে কি পারবে না, এই নিয়ে বিতর্ক কম হয় নি। এই নিয়ে বুধবার Private Tuition Associations এর সঙ্গে বৈঠক করেন শিক্ষামন্ত্রী পার্থ চট্টোপাধ্যায়। মূলত স্কুল শিক্ষকদের Private পড়ান নিয়েই আলোচনা হয় ওই বৈঠকে। আলোচনার পরে শিক্ষকদের Private এ পড়ান আটকাতে রাজ্য স্কুল শিক্ষা দফতরকে নতুন নির্দেশিকা বের করার নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন শিক্ষামন্ত্রী। এই প্রসঙ্গে জানা গিয়েছে, West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) ও West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) এর সঙ্গে আলোচনা করেই চূড়ান্ত আইন বের করা হবে। স্কুল শিক্ষকরা Private এ পড়ালে চাকরি হারাতেও পারেন। এমন কড়া নিয়ম আনছে সরকার।
