The Election Commission of India (E.C.I) has announced a list of exempted persons which clearly state that they will be eligible for exempted from this Election Duty.

Information about Polling Personnel training schedule

In reference to the above General Elections to West Bengal Legislative Assembly 2021, I am directed to inform you that the date of 1st. phase Training of Polling Personnel (PP) in Murshidabad district are schedule to be held on and from 22.02.2021 to 25.02.2021 and special hands on training, for E.V.M (Electronic Voting Machine)/V.V.P.A.T (Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail) on and from 05.03.2021 to 06.03.2021.

You are requested to take necessary arrangement for successful conduct of training.

List of exempted Categories

The Election Commission has exempted following persons from election duty-

1. Officers of Indian Forest Service as notified by Election Commission of India (E.C.I)
2. Doctors /Compounders working in veterinary hospitals.
3. Officers working in Grade-B (Cattle Extension Officers) in veterinary hospitals.
4. Territorial staff of Forest Department.
5. Medical Staff including Doctors, nurses, ANMs etc.
7. Officers of Food Corporation India
8. Ayurvedic, Unani and Homeopathic Medical Officer of Ayush Department.
9. The operational/technical Staff of UPSC, MTNL, BSNL and educational institutions will be requisitioned for election duty only in unavoidable circumstances.
10. Officer/Staff of Commercial Bank located in Officer/Staff of Commercial Bank located in rural area and if happens to be a single officer branch, need not be deployed.
11. Any official due to retire within 6-month's time or who is already retired but on extension of service or reemployed.
12. School teachers working as post master.
13. Civil Judicial Officers of and above the rank of District Magistrate.

Women Officials 

I. All pregnant women and lactating mothers, whether on Maternity Leave or not, or who are otherwise on medical advice not to undertake any rigorous or hazardous work, should be exempted from election duty.

II. The female polling Personnel should be put on duty by manual randomization by the observers in the neighboring polling stations.

Physically Challenged Persons

(i) Physically Challenged Persons with disabilities as defined under the P.W.D (Persons With Disabilities) (Equal Opportunities Protection of Right and Full Participation) Act, 1995 should not be deployed on election duty.

(ii) If any Physically Challenged Persons (including visually impaired or deaf or dumb person) would not be in a position to perform election duties,  must be exempted from the election duty subject to satisfaction of D.E.O (District Election Officer)/ R.O (Returning Officer).

ফর্ম-12 (Letter of Intimation to Returning Officer (R.O) or ফর্ম-12A (Application for Election Duty Certificate) গুলি পূর্ন করার জন্য প্রয়োজনীয়-

নিজের Assembly Constituency / বিধানসভা কেন্দ্র, Parliamentary Constituency / লোকসভা কেন্দ্র, Polling Station Name / ভোট কেন্দ্রের নাম, Part No./ অংশ নম্বর, Serial No./ ক্রমিক নম্বর ইত্যাদি জানার জন্য Search your Electoral Roll using (ভোটার কার্ড) EPIC  অথবা নিজের নাম লিখে সার্চ করুন -
