       As per direction of the State Authority given in today's VC with the District Magistrates, a Benchmark Sample Survey on Backward Classes in West Bengal will be conducted in Nadia along with all other district of West Bengal. For their purpose, you are requested to

          (i) Send by 12:00 Noon, on 30.03.2025, the names of Extension Officer Level Enumerators (Field Surveyors) to be deployed for household survey for this purpose, in your respective jurisdictions, in the given form and as per numbers as scheduled below, to the District Welfare Officer, Backward Classes Welfare & Tribal Development, Nadia to his e-mail: bcwonadia@gmail.com.

      (ii) keep ready the various pockets (hornlets) where Backward Classes people, belonging to the 113 sub-castes as specified in the attached list received from the State Authority, reside by identifying those with the help of GP Pradhans, Others knowledgeable persons, data related to GP seats reserved for OBC Categories, if available in West Bengal State Election Commission's Website etc.

        Proposed Sample Methodologies for this purpose, a list containing names of 113 sub-castes to be surveyed and one Sample Survey Form as received from the Authority are attached herewith for your information.
