At the very beginning of Bengali New Year ( বাংলা নববর্ষ ১৪৩৩ বঙ্গাব্দ ), the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education gets immense pleasure to announce that the results of the Higher Secondary Examinations 2026 will be published on 14th May 2026 at 10:30 AM through a Press Conference to be held at Vidhyasagar Bhavan, Saltlake, Kolkata 700 091.
The examinees, appeared in the examination will be able to check their results from 11:00 AM through different websites to be intimated shortly. All concerned are requested to follow the website of the Council for further information.

NOTIFICATION
Attention: All Head of the Higher Secondary Institutions
Students of H.S. Examination. 2026 and all other concerned
As notified earlier vide notification No. L/PR/198/2026 dated 22/04/2026; the undersigned is to inform all stakeholders that the Council is going to publish the result of Higher Secondary Examination 2026 on 14th May 2026 at 10:30 am. through a Press Conference to be held at Vidaysagar Bhavan, Salt Lake Kolkata 700 091. The result can be viewed and download from the below mentioned websites (URL) /Mobile App at and from 11:00 am on the same day. The hardcopies of the mark sheets and pass certificates and registration Certificate will be distributed among the concerned institutions from 56 distribution centres (attached herewith in separate sheet) all over the West Bengal on 14th May 2026 at 11:00 am. The Head of the Institutions are requested to distribute the mark sheet, pass certificates and registration certificate among their students on the same day i.e. on 14.05.2026 itself.

Distribution of Marksheet & Certificate of Higher Secondary Examinations 2026

Attention: All Head of the Institutions under the purview of the Council
It has already been informed that the hardcopies of the mark sheet, pass certificate and registration certificate of Higher Secondary Examinations 2026 will be distributed among the respective institutions from 56 distribution centers all over the West Bengal on 14th May 2026 at and from 11:00 AM and the Head of the Institutions were requested to distribute the same among their students on the same day.
In this context, the undersigned is to further request all stakeholders that the representatives of the institutions while collecting the above mentioned testimonials; they must verify and match the count of such testimonials with their eligible number of candidates/ students to avoid further misunderstanding. If any mismatch in number is noticed, the representatives of institutions must bring it to the notice of the concerned on duty official of the Council in the distribution Camp immediately in writing. The officials of the Council in turns will verify the fact and submit such applications to the respective Deputy Secretaries of Regional Offices for their further communication to the Head Office of the Council.
All concerned are requested to take necessary action accordingly.

Online Scrutiny and Review for Higher Secondary
Online application for Tatkal Post Publication Review (PPR) and Tatkal Post Publication Scrutiny (PPS) of written Answer scripts of Higher Secondary Examination 2025 from 15th May 2026 to 17th May 2026 and normal Review (PPR) and normal Scrutiny (PPS) will be accepted from 15th May 2026 to 28nd May 2026, instructions of online tatkal /normal Review and Scrutiny for Higher Secondary Examination 2026, go to official website for online application.

of Semester-IV and Higher Secondary Examination under Old System 2026
1. A Candidate appeared in Semester-IV and Higher Secondary Examination under Old System 2026 may apply for-
(a) Normal PPS/PPR of his/her answer script(s) from 15.05.2026 at 00:01 hours to 28.05.2026 at 23:59 hours along with the requisite fee.
(b) Tatkal PPS/PPR of his/her answer script(s) from 15.05.2026 at 00:01 hours to 17.05.2026 at 23:59 hours along with the requisite fee.
For both the option (a) and (b) above, the candidates have to register with the student’s portal first by visiting the website.
2. While applying for PPS/PPR on the portal, a candidate needs to provide an undertaking by saying that his/her PPS/PPR application will not be processed, if he/she has applied for certified copy of answer script(s) as per RTI Act 2005 before publication of his/her PPS/PPR result and in such case(s), he/she will be provided the certified copy of the answer script(s) as per RTI application.
3. Application for PPS/PPR of answer scripts through online mode will only be accepted. No other option for submission of application will be entertained.
4. Candidates will have to write the Roll No and Mark Sheet No of Semester-IV or Higher Secondary Examination under old system as the case may be for submission of online application.
(b) Tatkal PPS is Rs.600/- per subject and for Tatkal PPR is Rs.800/- per subject.
6. Application for PPR/PPS shall be restricted to theoretical paper(s) only provided that the candidate appeared in Higher Secondary Examination 2026 in the relevant subject(s) without any malpractice or misconduct report by any of the examination personnel.
9. A candidate will be able to seek PPR provided he/she has obtained higher grade in any other 03 subjects than the grade obtained in the subject(s) for which PPR is sought for.
10. An incomplete or incorrect application for PPS/PPR shall summarily be rejected by the Council and no enquiry or correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.
11. No application for PPR/PPS shall be entertained beyond the specified period mentioned above under any circumstances.
12. Institution/candidate may see the result of PPS/PPR on the Council’s website. The revised marks sheet/certificate (if applicable) has to be collected from the concerned Regional Offices of the Council by the concerned institutions/candidates by surrendering the previous mark sheet/scertificates. The institutions will have to maintain the records of such revised marks sheets/certificates of their students.
13. The result of Normal PPS/PPR may be declared with 01 (one) month from the cutoff date of submission of application. However, the result of Tatkal PPS/PPR will be published within 08 (Eight) days from the date of receipt of online application, failing which, the excess amount of fees deposited (=Tatkal Fees – Normal Fees) by the candidate will be refunded in favour of the candidate, if applied for.
15. Any matter which is not described herein, to be solely decided by the Council and the decision of the Council will be the final.

User Manual for PPS/PPR
Interested student have to follow the following steps for applying online PPS/PPR
Go to Council Official Website
Then Click on ‘Students Login’
Students need to sing up
** School Code can be found on Mark-sheet top Corner i.e.
Fill the necessary fields for first time registration. Enter your Registration Number, Institution Code [which was printed on the left corner of the Mark sheet] and mobile number on which OTP for registration and username after registration will be sent.
After registration go to PPS/PPR tab
Enter your roll number and mark sheet number. And press the ‘Validate Roll No and Mark-sheet No’ Button
*** For entering Marksheet no see into Marksheet corner i.e.
Select subjects for PPS/PPR and click the preview button to recheck
After reviewing the details click check the ‘I accept’ check box then you will get the final submit button else do the necessary modification by pressing the edit button.
And pay the requisite amount
