          At the very beginning of Bengali New Year ( বাংলা নববর্ষ ১৪৩৩ বঙ্গাব্দ ), the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education gets immense pleasure to announce that the results of the Higher Secondary Examinations 2026 will be published on 14th May 2026 at 10:30 AM through a Press Conference to be held at Vidhyasagar Bhavan, Saltlake, Kolkata 700 091.

         The examinees, appeared in the examination will be able to check their results from 11:00 AM through different websites to be intimated shortly. All concerned are requested to follow the website of the Council for further information.

NOTIFICATION
Attention: All Head of the Higher Secondary Institutions
Students of H.S. Examination. 2026 and all other concerned

             As notified earlier vide notification No. L/PR/198/2026 dated 22/04/2026; the undersigned is to inform all stakeholders that the Council is going to publish the result of Higher Secondary Examination 2026 on 14th May 2026 at 10:30 am. through a Press Conference to be held at Vidaysagar Bhavan, Salt Lake Kolkata 700 091. The result can be viewed and download from the below mentioned websites (URL) /Mobile App at and from 11:00 am on the same day. The hardcopies of the mark sheets and pass certificates and registration Certificate will be distributed among the concerned institutions from 56 distribution centres (attached herewith in separate sheet) all over the West Bengal on 14th May 2026 at 11:00 am. The Head of the Institutions are requested to distribute the mark sheet, pass certificates and registration certificate among their students on the same day i.e. on 14.05.2026 itself.

        The is to inform all the stakeholders that the application for online Tatkal Post Public Scrutiny (PPS) and Tatkal Post Publication Review (PPR) of answer scripts of Higher Secondary Examination 2026 will be accepted from 08.05.2026 at and from 00:00 hours to 11.05.2026 at 23:59 hours and the application for normal PPS/PPR will be accepted from 08.05.2026 at and from 00:00 hours to 22.05.2026 at 23:59 hours through online portal of the Council. The interested candidates of Higher Secondary Examination 2026 may apply for PPS/PPR of their answer scripts within the mentioned duration. The rules and user manual of PPS /PPR are attached herewith for ready reference.

         In this context, the students are advised not to apply simultaneously for both PPS/PPR and certified copy as per the RTI Act 2005 for the same answer script(s) before publication for result of PPS/PPR since this might lead to complication and delay in publication of result of PPS/PPR.

Instruction for  Review and Scrutiny of Higher Secondary Examination

 Rules for Post Publication Scrutiny (PPS) /Post Publication Review (PPR) of the answer script(S) 
of Higher Secondary Examination 2026

 
1. A Candidate who has appeared in Higher Secondary Examination 2026 may apply for-

(a) Normal PPS/PPR of his/her answer script(s) from 08.05.2026 at 00:00 hours to 22.05.2026 at 23:59 hours along with the requisite fee.

(b) Tatkal PPS/PPR of his/her answer script(s) from 08.05.2026 at 00:00 hours to 11.05.2026 at 23:59 hours along with the requisite fee.

For both the option (a) and (b) above, the candidates have to first register with the student’s portal before applying for PPS/PPR by visiting the website.

2. A candidate needs to provide an undertaking while applying for PPS/PPR on the application portal that his/her PPS/PPR application will not be processed, if he/she has applied for certified copy of answer script(s) as per RTI Act 2005 before publication of his/her PPS/PPR result and in such case(s), he/she will be provided the certified copy of the answer script(s) as per RTI application.

3. Application for PPS/PPR of answer scripts through online mode will only be accepted. No other option for submission of application will be entertained.

4. Candidates will have to write the Roll No and Mark Sheet No of Higher Secondary Examination 2025 for submission of online application.

5. Application fees for-

(a) Normal PPS is Rs.150/- per subject and for Normal PPR is Rs.200/- per subject.
(b) Tatkal PPS is Rs.600/- per subject and for Tatkal PPR is Rs.800/- per subject.

6. Application for PPR/PPS shall be restricted to theoretical papers only provided that the candidate appeared in Higher Secondary Examination 2026 in the relevant subject(s) without any report of malpractice or misconduct.

7. Application may seek PPS in all subjects, but for PPR in maximum 02 (two) subjects.

8. Application for PPR will only be allowed for the subject(s) in which PPS in not sought for.

9. A regular and continuing candidate will be able to seek PPR provided he/she has obtained higher grade in any other 03 subjects than the grade obtained in the subject(s) for which PPR is sought for.

10. An incomplete or incorrect application for PPS/PPR shall summarily be rejected by the Council and no enquiry or correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.

11. No application for PPR/PPS shall be entertained beyond the specified period mentioned above under any circumstances.

12. Institution/candidate may see the result of PPS/PPR on the Council’s website after publication. The revised marks sheet/certificate (if any) has to be collected from the concerned Regional Office of the Council by the concerned institution/candidate by surrendering the previous mark sheet/certificate. The institutions will have to maintain the records of such revised marks sheet/certificate of the students.

13. The result of Normal PPS/PPR may be declared with 01 (one) month from the cutoff date of submission of application. However, the result of Tatkal PPS/PPR will be published within 07 (Seven) days from the date of receipt of online application, failing which, the excess amount of fees deposited (=Tatkal Fees – Normal Fees) by the candidate will be refunded in favour of the candidate, if applied for.

14. Candidates shall have to accept the result of PPS/PPR, as the case may be.

15. Any matter which is not described herein, to be solely decided by the Council and the decision of the Council will be the final.

Interested student have to follow the following steps for applying online PPS/PPR

Then Click on ‘Students Login’
Students need to sing up
** School Code can be found on Mark-sheet top Corner i.e.
Higher_Secondary_Review_and_Scrutiny_Page_2

Fill the necessary fields for first time registration. Enter your Registration Number, Institution Code [which was printed on the left corner of the Mark sheet] and mobile number on which OTP for registration and username after registration will be sent.

Enter your roll number and mark sheet number. And press the ‘Validate Roll No and Mark-sheet No’ Button
