Renewal for Aikyashree Scholarship

Students in receipt of Scholarship for 2020-2021 must apply under renewal category only

Important instructions for Aikyashree Scholarship

  • Student domiciled in West Bengal only is eligible to apply
  • Institute must be located in West Bengal
  • Students with at least 50% marks are eligible to apply (except for Class-I)
  • Annual family income of the applicant for Pre-Matric Scholarship and Post-Matric Scholarship is upto Rs. 2 lakhs and for Merit Cum Means is upto Rs. 2.5 lakhs
  • One mobile number can be used for the registration of one application only
  • Students must have their own bank account number. However, for Pre-Matric Scholarship, students can apply through their parents' bank account also 
  • Print-out of application along with a photocopy (Xerox) of bank passbook containing bank account number and IFS code to be submitted to the concerned institute
  • A student is eligible for applying scholarship from any one source only.

Preparatory work for Aikyashree Scholarship at Duare Sarkar

The application for 'Aikyashree' for 2021-2022 will be started from 16.08.2021. So the commencement of Duare Sarkar camp coincides with the commencement of receiving application for Aikyashree Scholarship.

In this connection, I am to request you to for the following issues:

(a) As timely payment of Scholarship largely depends on timely verification of application at institute level you are requested to instruct all the Head of the Institutions (HOI) of Murshidabad District to request the Nodal Teacher for Aikyashree for updating his profile in the portal of Aikyashree within 13.08.2021 and also to verify the applications at the institute level within 02 days from the date of application.

(b) You are also requested to instruct the all the Sub-Inspector of Schools under Murshidabad District to co-ordinate with the Head of the Institutions and Nodal Teachers of Aikyashree so that the verification of the applications at the institute level must be done within 02 days from the date of application.

You are requested to consider this institution as the Most Urgent.

Verification of applications for scholarship under Aikyashree Scheme made at Duare Sarkar Camps

Sir,
As you are kindly aware that renewal of 'Aikyashree' scholarship is one of the service which is being provided from the Duare Sarkar Camp (16th August to 15th September).

In the 2020-20201, we were able to provide more that 39 lakh scholarships to the students under the Scheme. This year we are expecting that at least 20-25 lakhs students would apply for scholarship under the Scheme through the Duare Sarkar Camps. Also, the receiving of fresh application has started, through it is not part of the Duare Sarkar.

For sanctioning the scholarship in a time bound manner, the 1st level of verification of the application at the Institute Level is of utmost importance.

I would request you to kindly issue necessary instructions to head of all the schools /colleges/universities under your department to complete the verification of the application for scholarship of the students studying in their institutions within 2-3 days of the filing of application in order to achieve the target set for Duare Sarkar campaign as well as for the year.
